The world of football writing changed forever with Nick Hornby’s seminal book Fever Pitch in 1992 which looked at the authors relationship with Arsenal as a fan, but also in the wider context of his life.

It marked the beginning of books about the ‘beautiful game’ being taken seriously and has seen in the subsequent years the range of topics covered in new titles about the game flourish.
